What Esther Said . . .
I was really lucky to be brought up in a Christian family, but I did find it hard to become a Christian because I had to really mean it — and not just do it because it because I thought it was the 'right thing to do'.
But I did become a Christian when I was about 8.
I want to get baptised because I want to show how much I love God and to live my life for him.
I made my decision at the weekend away in Buxton with John O'Brien. I had recently been praying that God would speak to me to tell me what he wanted me to do next and I really felt he was urging me take a stand for my faith and be baptised. I understand that it's so amazing that God gave his life on the cross for me, and I want other people to know I'm a Christian and to see God working in me.
So, Esther, why this song?
I chose "My Jesus, My Saviour" because I've grown up knowing it and I just love it!
The words are so amazing and whenever I sing it, it just feels that I'm telling Jesus how much I love him.
