Matlock's New One Way System
The bridge by Crown Square only carries traffic out of Matlock. To reach Matlock from Cromford, drive past the old bridge and the new supermarket. At the junction, turn right and come back to town on the other side of the river along the A615 - the Bakewell / Darley Dale Road (which is still two-way).
Finding Steep Turnpike Church:
On the Ordnance Survey map, the road 'Steep Turnpike' (shown in yellow) starts at the 'A' of the A615 label. The church building is a short distance further on, marked with + beside the first turning on the left.
Matlock Railway Station is about 10 minutes walk away.
The old and new Matlock Bus Stations are both about 10 minutes walk away.
