TUESDAY
Graham and Iveta took me, Ben, Dan, Liam and Zoe on a trip to Norkalne camp site. It's an awesome place; subdivided into two camps, the first is in tents (some of which date back to WWII), has an outdoor washing stand and a newly built dining room / chapel. The second camp is in huts and has a zip wire over it. Both are just the kind of place I like.

The guy who runs them is pretty cool as well. He used to do survival classes once upon a time, and he took us on a walk through the woods searching for beavers. We didn't see any beavers themselves, but we did see some 'beavered' trees and a beaver dam (and a water snake). They have deer flies at the Norkalne camp though, and they are apparently a lot more vicious than the horse flies at Ganchauskas.
