Easy Navigation
Everyone appreciates easy navigation, but for people with R.S.I. and other mobility problems it is a big issue. To avoid using the mouse for navigation, use:
- Tab key. Using the tab key moves you systematically from link to link through each page. To move back one link use ShiftTab.
- Alt+(underlined letter) to reach each link by simple keystrokes (eg. Alt A for 'About STEC')
- P.S. It will take us a while to complete the tab system and the Alt system, so please bear with us.
No 'Flickering'
Flickering and flashing screens are irritating and distracting. They create problems for people with reading difficulties, migraine, epilepsy and other conditions.- Blinking or Flashing effects on-screen are avoided at all times.
- We avoid linking to sites which display blinking or flashing effects on screen (but as we don't control other sites we cannot guarantee this).
- Animations are kept to a minimum, and we feel they deserve a place on the childrens' pages. We try to choose animations which do not produce flashing and flickering effects (please tell us if we have got it wrong).
