An introduction to some of the 'small groups' available at Steep Turnpike Evangelical Church, Matlock. By their very nature, these groups are quite changeable, and extra groups are added as and when they are needed.

Thursday Prayer Meeting

Prayer Meetings are held every Thursday at 7.45 pm at the church, except for House Group weeks (see below).

The Prayer Meeting isn't actually a small group meeting - it's for the whole church. However, as the 'power-house' of church life, it's so important that it gets listed here too!

House groups

A range of monthly evening groups meeting in homes in Matlock and further afield. These are great times for getting to know people in relaxed atmosphere, to discuss ideas, current affairs and . . . 'life' in the light of what the Bible teaches, and for conversation with God in prayer.

Special-Interest Bible Studies

"Christian Life and Work" is a special - occasional - Bible Study series held on occasional Monday evenings.

The cakes baked by Roz are a huge treat - but not the only reason for coming! These are helpful, interesting and fun sessions - a useful opportunity to chat and enjoy some constructive support.
