General Activities

Regular events include the weekly prayer meeting (top priority!), monthly house groups, ladies bible study and others. Further details are given below. Details of small groups meeting at peoples' home can be obtained from church. If you are interested in meeting in a smaller group please contact us for details.

Special events may be held on weekdays or at weekends. Our Tear Fund Supper was a Friday evening event, but full-day events tend to happen on a Saturday - as with The Bethlehem Experience and our recent womens' conference 21st Century Woman. And large chunk of the church (all ages) disappears to Spring Harvest for a week or so each year!

The children keep us busy! We run regular childrens' events (all by age group) in Matlock, including Weekday Clubs and Sunday Clubs and a Sunday Creche during term time. For Sunday Club you just 'turn up', but registration is required for weekday clubs. Information for Parents explains.

Special childrens' activities in Matlock are organised for most school holidays. For Christmas 2005 the children's event was Christmas Crackers! Summer Club is the biggest children's activity that we run in Matlock. Every year there's a different theme: last year's theme was "Pyramid Rock" was Egyptian; this year's theme is "Waste Watchers".

This Matlock Church is evangelical, providing activities for children & adults, families & singles, young people, senior and retired people. As one of the lively, Bible-based Christian churches in Matlock we provide fun kids' clubs, youth groups, adult groups and support, community activities, seasonal events, fellowship, worship, prayer & Bible teaching.
